This elegant English wedding was featured on Love My Dress last week so I thought now was a good time to share it with the world!
I enjoyed photographing this wedding so much. Not least because it was styled by the amazing Katie from The Vintage House That Could. The attention to detail was just astonishing and wait till you see the bouquet!
Camilla had been a bridesmaid at a previous wedding I photographed so when she booked me I was delighted.
A word from the bride
“Camilla was the first supplier we booked. She had photographed my friend’s wedding a few years previously, at which I was a bridesmaid. Because of her friendliness and amazing creativity, I remember saying at the time that I wanted her to photograph my wedding (I hadn’t even met Rob then!).”
The Wedding Day
The wedding took place in the historical Trinity Hall Cambridge. It is such a beautiful venue and Katie did an amazing job of decorating it with gorgeous flowers and many other unique items such as family photos and framed maps. There was a clear Scottish theme running through the day with thistles place cards. The tables were names after Scottish landmarks and the table plan was created using antique books.
My favourite part of the day was seeing the guests punting on the river. This was such a fun addition to the wedding day and the bride and groom also managed to sneak off for a romantic punt. Everywhere you turned you were greeted with smiling guests and laughter. It was truly the happiest day.
Camilla looked so elegant in her beaded 1920’s inspired dress and Rob couldn’t stop smiling all day at his stunning bride. I loved the pale pink bridesmaids dresses which set off the colour scheme beautifully. Rob and the boys looked pretty great too!
Thank you Camilla & Rob for inviting me to capture your elegant English wedding. I wish you all the happiness in the world.
